Brad E. Kolder is the Managing Partner of Kolder, Slaven & Company, LLC, where he leads the firm’s diverse practice areas, focusing on audit services for a wide variety of businesses, governmental entities, and nonprofit organizations. Brad also provides clients with expert guidance on business formation, strategic consulting, and tax planning. His comprehensive approach ensures that clients receive not only compliance services but also valuable insights to help them achieve their financial and operational goals.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 2005 and obtained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation shortly thereafter. Expanding his expertise, Brad earned his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2009, where he obtained both a Civil Law Degree and a Common Law Certificate. His legal education provides a unique foundation for advising clients on complex regulatory and legal matters, particularly in the areas of corporate structure and governance.
In 2014, Brad achieved the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the AICPA, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Lafayette Bar Association. Through his membership in these associations, he stays current with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that the firm remains at the forefront of the accounting profession.
Beyond his professional commitments, Brad values the importance of work-life balance. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and frequently travels with his wife and daughter, exploring new destinations and cultures. His dedication to family and his passion for travel enrich his perspective both personally and professionally.

With nearly three decades of experience, Robert S. Carter, CPA, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role at the firm. Robert’s journey began as an intern for the firm in 1994 and he joined the firm full time in 1995 — quickly establishing himself as a dedicated and skilled professional. Robert earned his CPA license in 1998 and over the years, he has developed a strong specialization in audits of governments and financial institutions, as well as business advisory and taxation.
Robert works with a diverse range of clients, from large businesses and governmental entities to small businesses and individuals. His hands-on approach to client service focuses on developing comprehensive business strategies to meet both current and future needs. Whether advising a governmental entity or helping a small business navigate complex tax issues, Robert is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality service.
Robert graduated from the University of Louisiana of Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. A member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA), Robert stays active in the professional community and continuously enhances his skills. He also enjoys working with and mentoring younger staff, fostering their growth and development within the firm.

With over 40 years of dedicated service to the business community, Arthur R. Mixon, CPA, ABV, is a seasoned partner and trusted advisor specializing in tax planning and business consulting. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Arthur brings a wealth of experience and insight to the firm, helping clients navigate complex financial landscapes with precision and care.
Arthur holds both the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) certifications, underscoring his expertise in delivering comprehensive and strategic consulting services. His client-centered approach is best captured by his personal philosophy, ACTA NON VERBA — actions, not words — which reflects his commitment to delivering tangible results and meaningful guidance to each client.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Arthur has made a substantial impact within his community. He served as President of both the New Iberia Chamber of Commerce and the Iberia Development Foundation (IDF), earning awards for his leadership in both roles. Arthur has also dedicated three decades of service on the New Iberia Museum Board, underscoring his commitment to supporting local heritage and culture.
Outside of work, Arthur is a passionate family man and an active competitor in senior-level pickleball tournaments. He also gives back by coaching high school soccer, sharing his love of sports and teamwork with the next generation.

Stephen J. Anderson brings a unique and dynamic background to his role as Partner at Kolder, Slaven & Company, LLC. After earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Northeast Louisiana University and pursuing further studies in accounting and business at Louisiana State University at Alexandria, Stephen initially embarked on a career in federal law enforcement. However, his passion for accounting led him to join his parents’ CPA firm as a bookkeeper while completing the necessary coursework to sit for the CPA exam.
Following the merger of his family’s firm with Kolder, Slaven & Company, Stephen advanced steadily within the organization. In 2015, he became a Partner, overseeing the Alexandria office with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Stephen specializes in tax planning and preparation, business advisory and planning, and financial statement preparation. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), as well as a proud member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).
Guided by a client-first philosophy, Stephen strives to help clients achieve their financial goals while maintaining compliance with government and industry regulations. He believes in the power of active listening and availability to build trust and deliver tailored solutions.

Casey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). In addition to his CPA designation, Casey holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential, reflecting his expertise in fraud prevention and his commitment to protecting clients’ interests.

Nicholas D. Fowlkes, CPA, is a dedicated Certified Public Accountant and Partner at Kolder, Slaven & Company, LLC. He graduated from Northwestern State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration. He began his career in 2011 working at Payne Moore and Herrington, LLP, before joining Kolder, Slaven & Company, LLC, in 2016 where he became a Partner in 2022.
Nicholas specializes in both tax and attest services. His tax expertise includes preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, exempt organizations, trusts, and estates. He also offers tax consulting and planning tailored to each client’s unique needs, along with monthly bookkeeping services such as sales tax preparation, payroll services, and financial statement preparation. In attest services, Nicholas performs audits for governmental, non-profit, and quasi-public entities, ensuring compliance and financial integrity across these sectors.
A member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA), Nicholas is committed to industry excellence. He served as Local Chapter President of the LCPA from 2020 to 2021, demonstrating his dedication to professional growth and community involvement.
Nicholas takes a client-centered and educational approach to his work. He begins by understanding each client’s familiarity with tax laws and previous experiences, then guides them through compliant strategies to minimize tax burdens under IRS regulations. Deidre L. Stock is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant with over two decades of experience in the accounting field. She graduated from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in finance, in December 1999. She furthered her education with another Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, this time focusing on accounting, in December 2007. Deidre attained her CPA license in October 2011.
Deidre began her career at Kolder, Slaven & Company, LLC in 2001, where she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise. Her hard work and commitment were recognized when she became a partner at the firm in January 2023.
Specializing in working with small business owners, Deidre provides comprehensive services in bookkeeping, various accounting software, payroll, sales taxes, income tax returns, and tax planning. Her extensive knowledge and personalized approach have made her a trusted advisor to many clients.
Outside of her professional life, Deidre enjoys spending quality time with her family. She has a passion for traveling and wine tasting, and she also enjoys creating fun art pieces for her friends and family.
